SIR — This year’s Watchet Summertime has been full of events from a dog show to busking and supported by many residents and visitors.

We had an action-packed week with lots going on for families, culminating in our fabulous fireworks, for which we have received many compliments.

We are locally well-known as being a town where things are always going on, but events do not happen without a lot of groundwork, and I would like to thank the hard working committee for all their planning and work during the week.

Thanks also to local people who came out to help us during the week, and of course, the events could not happen without the generosity of our sponsors.

When we had all had a little rest, we enjoyed Watchet Music Festival, also organised by a very hard working local team.

Now it’s back to the planning stage to make sure Watchet Summertime will brighten our summer all over again next year!
