See the latest planning applications in West Somerset and ExmoorNominations for the Somerset Prepared Community Resilience Awards 2025 close on Monday (September 22).
The awards recognise people and groups who have taken that extra step to help their community be better able to deal with emergencies.
They may have set up a flood group, run a good neighbour scheme, written a community emergency plan, or organised volunteer training, the awards celebrate those who make a real difference to local preparedness.
Nominations can be submitted via https://www.somersetprepared.org.uk/somerset-community-resilience-awards.
Winners will be announced at the annual Somerset Prepared Community Day on October 15 and presentations made by the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset Mohammed Saddiq.
