AN Exmoor couple, who run two luxury glamping lodges in Skilgate, near Wimbleball Lake, were among national winners at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence held in Bristol on Saturday (June 6).

Daniel and Rachel Barber, of Little Haddon Farm, received a bronze award for the new tourism business of the year as one of 53 finalists from 369 local winners.

Last year, they won three regional tourism gold awards.

VisitEngland director Andrew Stokes said:“The awards are a celebration of England’s outstanding tourism industry.

“I congratulate the wonderful range of award recipients, all of whom are so passionate about tourism.

“They are all deserving winners.”

Director of tourism services Robin Barker said: "To reach the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence is a huge achievement.”
