Exmoor recently hosted the Lancia Motor Club’s 2024 international rally for pre-1960 cars with vehicles coming from all over mainland Europe including Holland, Belgium and France. There was also one entrant from Canada.
The event is known as the ‘Sliding Pillar Rally’ because all Lancias from the 1920's into the 1960's had this type of front suspension.
More than 30 cars attended the rally, basing themselves at the White Horse Inn in Exford, the rally visited Dunster Castle with a pitstop in Dulverton and on the following day went to Lynton and Lynmouth.

Adrian Rudler organiser of the rally said “It was lovely to come to Exmoor as it is an area that not many of the group had visited before, particularly the overseas entrants.
“They all enjoyed driving around with fantastic scenery and wonderful views. Several local Lancia owners also joined the drive.”
