BUTLIN’S, which has a holiday resort in Minehead, has been nominated in two categories of this year’s UK travel industry awards.

The brand has been shortlisted for the 2025 British Travel Awards and hopes to be crowned the best company for UK parks and lodges holidays and also the favourite company for radio advertisements.

Butlin’s chef executive Jon Hendry Pickup said making the awards shortlist in itself was ‘an incredible achievement for Butlin’s’.

However, Mr Hendry Pickup said the company’s sights were set on clinching the top spots in both categories.

The winners are decided by the public, and the team in the Minehead resort is calling on loyal guests and the local community for their support before voting closes on November 1.

The Minehead resort has seen huge investment for guests in recent years, from a £2.5 million inclusive and interactive SKYPARK playground designed for children of all abilities, to Studio 36 becoming a permanent entertainment venue with headline acts and performances.

Mr Hendry Pickup said: “We are all about giving our guests memorable holidays and have invested significantly at our three resorts.

“Our amazing new openings have really enhanced our guest experience.

“Whether you are with the family on an action-packed holiday or having a well-earned getaway with friends on our adult only Big Weekenders we can guarantee plenty of incredible live performances and activities to keep everybody entertained.

“From everybody at Butlin’s, we would really appreciate your votes, plus there are some incredible prizes up for grabs.”

British Travel Awards, the largest consumer-voted travel awards in the UK, is offering anybody who votes an opportunity to win prizes including a £5,000 Greek holiday, a river cruise valued at more than £4,000, up to £1,000 of holiday vouchers, and a £5,000 European villa break.
