WEST Somerset residents whose homes could be threatened by flash floods can now seek help from a scheme run by the Rotary Club of Minehead’s emergency volunteer action group (EVAG).
A spokesperson said: “Flash floods are becoming an increasingly familiar part of the Somerset scene and more homes than ever need to be prepared and protected.”
Rotary’s EVAG, which has the support of Somerset Council, has a supply of flood alleviation equipment items which can be made available at a much-reduced cost to West Somerset residents.
