AROUND 100 keen motorcyclists ignored the forecast of rain last Wednesday to gather in Blue Anchor for a special Minehead Bike Meet event.

The group, which meets weekly for a bike night at the Beach Hotel in Minehead in the summer, was holding a special large event at The Smugglers Inn, with live music from local band Mighty Rough Justice, food, drink and a barbecue.

Everything from the oldest bike at 103 to new ones were in evidence – and a biker dog complete with goggles and its own passenger box was a star attraction.
