MINEHEAD Museum has put out an SOS for help with displays on next year’s theme – Maritime Minehead.
People are asked to share their memories, mementoes and stories for the 2017 exhibition at the museum, which is part of the Beach Hotel Heritage Hub.
Minehead’s prosperity was closely bound up with the sea and for over 200 years the port was second in local importance only to Bristol.
The museum can copy and return any photographs. Gifts and loans of items will also be welcomed at the museum, although storage space is limited. Sue can be contacted on 01643 706461 or [email protected].
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday until October 30. This year’s exhibition on ’Entertainment and Leisure’.
Pictured tied up at Minehead Quay is the Emma-Louise in her days as a sailing ship.
