LONG service awards were presented to 39 West Somerset Railway volunteers and some members of staff at the annual presentation held on Saturday, November 10 at The Quantock Brewery in Bishops Lydeard.

Significant contribution awards were also presented to John Robinson and David Bagshaw for their continuing support in the human resources department.

The West Somerset Railway has an 800-strong volunteer team and WSR plc chairman Jonathan Jones-Pratt presented awards for ten, 20, and 30 years’ service.

He said: “Our volunteers and staff are essential to the WSR."
