A FRESH appeal has been made for more volunteers to help man a retail shop in Minehead’s lifeboat station.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) shop is reaching its busiest time of the season and is particularly looking for couples or individuals who can spare three hours every two weeks through the summer.
A spokesperson said: “Full training is given, hours are flexible, and it is a great chance to help out a valuable community resource.”
The shop raises funds to support the RNLI’s work of ‘saving lives at sea’ and is currently open from 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday and until 3.30 pm on Sundays.
Anybody who is interested in volunteering should call Alison Hersey on 07706 965401.
