THE second annual fundraiser Kayaking 4 Cancer takes place on Wimbleball Lake on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18.
Kayakers of all ages and abilities will be aiming to paddle about 37 miles to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, either as individuals or in teams.
The course around the lake will be dictated by weather conditions, but the hope and expectation is that everyone will paddle the entire shoreline of Wimbleball.
It is being organised by the South West Lakes Trust and Channel Kayaks Ltd who are encouraging participants to set up their own ‘Just Giving’ page and to bring friends and family for support during the weekend.
Catering will be available on site from the Duck Café. All participants will be required to wear a buoyancy aid at all times while on the water.
The booking fee is £50 per person. For further details or to register visit www.channelkayaks.co.uk/kayaking-for-cancer/ or contact Byron Baker-Brown at [email protected].
