Batten down hatches as Storm Bram brings heavy rain and strong windsYear eight youngsters marked the end of term and the end of four years' studies on a course designed to teach them about their surroundings and the place they live in.
Pupils begin the course in year five and learn about a range of subjects, including cycling proficiency, St John Ambulance first aid, orienteering and route planning, RYA sailing, kayaking, as well as the ecology and wildlife of Exmoor.
The achievements of the latest batch of graduates - given the title of Junior Exmoor Rangers - were celebrated at a school assembly last Friday when they received their reward - a new uniform of a black jumper and tie.
