On Saturday February 18th Plastic Free Minehead and Plastic Free Exmoor will be leading a winter walk and beach clean and they would welcome anyone who is keen to help to come along and join them.
Those attending are encouraged to wrap up warm as the Plastic Free Community Groups aim to clear up some of the litter and debris that has been washed up along the West Somerset Coast during the winter months.
Anyone wishing to join the walk should meet outside the Beach Hotel, Minehead (TA24 5AP) ready for a 10.30am start. The walk will leave Minehead and head along the beach to the car park at Dunster Beach, a distance of approximately 2 ½ miles.
Litter pickers and sacks will be provided. Anyone attending will need to bring their own gloves. Children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
A free hot drink will be provided at the halfway stage courtesy of the Kingfisher Kiosk at Dunster Beach Holidays, so please bring along your own thermal mug or flask. The equipment and litter that has been collected will be left at Dunster
