The theme for this year’s Heritage Open Days is ‘Edible England’, providing the perfect excuse to indulge in apple-tasting at Carhampton Community Orchard from 11am to 2pm on Saturday (September 18).

Exact ripening times vary each year, but it may be possible to take a walk down memory lane with Tom Putt, James Grieves, Charles Ross or a Tydeman’s Early Worcester, or take home some Beurre Hardy pears or Crimson Bramleys for an apple pie.
As well as the free tasting, orchard fruit will be on sale as well as other apple-themed edibles.
