SIR — I am a regular holidaymaker to this part of Somerset and spend many of the months walking and exploring the lovely coastline. This was all disrupted a few weeks ago when two very large dogs came out of nowhere and together set on a little dog. When the dogs had been pulled off, the little dog looked lifeless. Someone rushed it away and we have no idea if the dog survived or not. How is this allowed to happen? If you have even a small inkling that your dog may bite, be responsible and keep it on a lead. Me and my children have returned home with horrendous images of this attack. My thoughts go out to the little dogs owners and I pray your dog made it through.
