Young Fred Tucker, from Allerford, has raised £2,320 for Cancer Research UK by running 2km every day throughout April.
Fred, ten, took on the challenge to raise money in memory of his grandmother Rosemary Tucker who lost her life to breast cancer a week before her 50th birthday.
He set up a fundraising page with the help of his mum, Karin, and the Strava app so he could post his progress daily.
Fred, who set out with the modest target of £50, raised £530 before he started, said: “The money I have raised will make a massive difference – thank you to everyone for the support, it really is appreciated.”
His fundraising page will stay open until the end of May for anyone would still like to contribute – visit https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org and search for ‘Fred’s running challenge’.
