THREE fire crews were sent to a report of a fire in a house in Watchet on Wednesday afternoon (April 8).
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue (DSFR) said the alarm was raised shortly after 4.30 pm and the first of the firefighters to reach the scene confirmed the blaze was located in the kitchen of the property.
The crews, who were mobilised from the Williton, Taunton, and Bridgwater stations, set to work to put out the flames using two sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
A DSFR spokesperson said: “There was 100 per cent damage to the food, and 10 per cent damage to the kitchen.
“The cause was accidental.”
