CROWCOMBE and Stogumber Schools’ summer fete takes place next Saturday (July 15) with attractions aimed at a wide range of people.

Life and legacy of nature writer Hope Bourne retold in Exmoor Society new bookThe long-running event is being held on Stogumber field - behind the school and village hall – and is a major fundraiser for the two schools.
Included in the afternoon’s schedule will be the ever-popular dog show, a tea room, a Pimm’s tent, a barbecue, children’s agility fun, a bouncy castle and lots of traditional games and stalls.
Organiser Helena Willford said: “The fete, which is organised by Crowcombe and Stogumber Schools’ PTA, is a hugely important fundraising event for the schools, but it also provides a wonderful opportunity for local people from all walks of life to come together and have fun.
“Our PTA members are planning on making this year even better than the last, so we hope people put the date in their diary and come to join in the fun.”
The fete will run from 1 to 4pm and there is £1 per family entrance fee which includes a programme. All programmes will be entered into a prize draw
