A RESCUE operation was mounted on a section of South West Coast Path near Porlock Weir on Thursday evening (July 2) when a walker suffered an injury.
The man had fallen and injured his lower leg and was unable to bear any weight on it.
Exmoor Search and Rescue Team was preparing for a training session when it took a call for help from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Rescuers were despatched as the sun was setting and found the man slightly more than half-a-mile from the road.
The advance team with two medical technicians were first to reach the casualty, while the following team carried a stretcher and vacuum splints and secured him on a wheeled stretcher to take him to the road and a waiting ambulance.
