EXES - West Somerset's own currency - may be spent at a flea market in aid of Moon bears and Somerset Wildlife Trust in Roadwater Village Hall tomorrow (Saturday). Cream teas will be available and there will be bric- a-brac, plants and produce stalls. Admission is free and items can be bought using either pounds and pence or exes. It is also an opportunity to find out about the organisers, the West Somerset LETS - Local Exchange and Trading System. This enables local people to offer and buy skills, whether work or leisure-related, and to buy and sell goods using self-issued currency so no conventional money costs are involved. It costs nothing to join and the group is looking to expand its membership.
