WITH a new name and a new venue, Porlock’s popular beer festival, now known as the Porlock Beer and Music Fest, will open at the Top Ship pub, High Street, on Thursday to Sunday, July 2 to 5.

County-wide annual arts festival to look at how migration has shaped SomersetPreviously known as the Weir Fest, the event was held for many years at the Ship Inn, Porlock Weir, and became a major date on the folk music calendar.
The eclectic line-up starts on the Thursday with the Lymouth Shanty Crew, followed on Friday by Merv and his Magic Tones, Groove Cat, Samphire, and Levi and the Bean.
Performing on the Saturday are Follow The Dolphin, Drew Neirin, The Pheromones, Jessie and the Skunknecks, and ACZZ.
Sunday’s finale features Rise Acoustic, the Kingstons, and Rough Justice.
