FOLLOWING near sell-outs in its first two years, ‘The Concert’ returns for a third time next month to Minehead’s Regal, supporting Cancer Research UK.

The show has raised nearly £10,000 for the charity and features a choir with more than 30 local singers, most also taking part in solo and small ensemble pieces, accompanied by an 18-strong orchestra.

The audience for the 7.30 pm performance on June 6 will be treated to, and can join in with, a wide range of music, including ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Hot Stuff’, ‘Barcelona’, Jenkins’ ‘Stabat Mater’ and ‘Benedictus’, ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘Pirates of Penzance’, ‘Jurassic Park’.

Conducted by David Pitts and presented in a light-hearted way, it promises to be another huge success.

Tickets are £10 from the Regal box office.
