NEW movie ‘The Salt Path’, being released at the end of the month, has inspired a series of three-day walks in West Somerset and Exmoor.

They feature locations from the movie and have been curated by the team which looks after the 630-mile South West Coast Path (SWCP).

The first walk covers 35 miles from Minehead to Combe Martin, taking in cliffs and coastal woodlands of Exmoor.

Many scenes in ‘The Salt Path’ were shot in West Somerset and North Devon, including Minehead, Porlock Weir, the Valley of the Rocks, Heddon’s Mouth, and Hartland Quay.

The film, based on Raynor Winn’s book, tells how she and husband Moth walked the path after becoming homeless and jobless when Moth was diagnosed with a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition.
