Bridgetown on Exmoor rocked while raising hundreds of pounds for charity.

A spokesman for the organisers Xmor-rox, Debi Oliver told the Free Press:"This debut event for the village really worked out as we had hoped. The weather stayed fine; we sold enough tickets and everyone said how much they’d  enjoyed themselves."

She paid particular thanks to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes, to the commercial sponsors and to those who gave their services free.

Entertainment came from the Ukulele band, Wivelele, The Rock Choir and two rock bands Monopole and Men in Black.

Children’s activities included face painting by Exford artist Anna Fraser.

The organisers added that next year they would like to attract more local stalls.

Proceeds went to Devon Air Ambulance, the parish churches of Bridgetown and Exton, as well as Bridgetown Village Hall.
