A GROUP of year four pupils from St Dubricius, Exford, Timberscombe and Cutcombe First Schools have just spent three activity-packed days at the Pinkery Education Centre near Simonsbath. 

It was part of a programme designed to ease the way for Exmoor’s first school children who will be moving on to their next school in September.

The children were divided up into mixed school teams for indoor and outdoor climbing, abseiling, archery, grass-sledging and low-rope sessions. 

In addition to the team-building activities, the children played and even sang together.  On their return, some children spoke of having enjoyed tidying their rooms and washing up after meals!
