RECENT wet weather gave children at Minehead First School the perfect opportunity to try out a new covered walkway. The canopy has been put up alongside the 'Whales' classroom to help keep both children and parents dry on their way in and out of school. The idea for the canopy came from pupil Ebony Plenty during a recent Dragons' Den-style competition at the school. Staff were so impressed with the idea they put the wheels into motion and Ebony's suggestion soon became a reality, helping to protect visitors from the very seasonal April showers.
