BOTH Minehead lifeboats were launched at lunchtime on Sunday after a report that a group of 18 students on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition had gone missing.

They were reported to have been making their way from Hurlestone Point to Minehead and a police helicopter was sent to help search for them.

However, all members of the group were located and accounted for by their leaders soon after the boats had put to sea.
