A DRIVER caught ‘drifting’ on a seafront roundabout near the entrance to Butlin’s holiday centre in Minehead has been dealt with by magistrates.
The motorist was stopped by police after a 999 call from a concerned member of the public.
He had been captured on CCTV ‘drifting’ his blue BMW car on the roundabout at the end of Seaward Way while other motorists were driving on it.
The video was used to demonstrate the driver's lack of control when the man appeared before a magistrates court and pleaded guilty to a motoring offence.
He was fined £345 and given eight penalty points on his licence for driving without care and attention, and was also ordered to pay £110 costs.
