THIS 30 over friendly was won by Brompton Ralph by 34 runs on Friday.
The home side batted first and with C Welsh (63) going well a useful score was always on the cards. D Bellringer, D Gilbert and A Norman gave useful support and Brompton closed on 189-4.
In reply, Barry West End had A White (79) and M Williams (42) in fine form but they had little other support the visitors were on 145-5 at the close.

Brompton Ralph v Newage
NEWAGE proved too strong for Brompton Ralph in a 40 over friendly played on June 18, the winning margin being 46 runs.
Newage batted first with N Kelly proving their main batsman, finishing just six short of a century.
With several other minor knocks Newage closed on 199-7, A Gilbert Brompton's top bowler with 3-28.
Brompton replied steadily with J Lee and T Gill reaching the forties, but with very little other support the run rate dropped and although only losing eight wickets their 153-8 was well short of the required total at the close.
Chapman bowled well for Newage and took 4-27.

Minehead Sunday XI v Barry West End
MINEHEAD, fielding eight teenagers, beat their experienced Welsh visitors by five wickets in a 40 over match.
Barry West End batted first and lost wickets steadily and totalled 184-8.
Tom Downer dismissed the middle order with 3-23 and was backed up by J Milburn. The batsmen were contained by the home side's young bowlers, J Baker, A Gubb and S Smith, and some excellent fielding.
Minehead's young opening batsmen Dan Pawson and Craig Sully put on 62 for the first wicket, Pawson being out for 34.
Three wickets then fell for 24 runs leaving Minehead on 86-4. Sully was then joined by his teenage captain Adam Jones, and they took the score to 180 before Craig Sully was bowled for 102.
This was the fifteen year old's first century for Minehead and he is the youngest century maker for a Minehead senior team. He hit five sixes and eight fours in his innings and played a mature and sensible knock for his team.
Adam Jones took the team to a very good win with 31 no and Minehead hit the winning runs with three balls to spare.

Winsford v WSCC Schoolmasters
WINSFORD won this annual fixture by 86 runs last Wednesday evening.
They started well with C Loosemore and A Neale (39) helping them reach 83-2, H Bellamy claiming both wickets to fall.
A partnership of 168 between W Sherring (103 ret) and A Blackmore (40 ret) then guided Winsford to a huge 221-5, with Sherring's innings including 14 fours and five sixes.
H Bellamy then showed he could bat as well when the Schoolmasters replied and went on to score 63 no.
But with F Hayes and A McEwan bowling well the Schoolmasters finished well short on 135-7.

Roadwater Ladies v Brompton Ralph Ladies
ROADWATER Ladies played their first outdoor game of the season and came out on top by 40 runs.
They batted first and openers Carol Matravers and Hazel Binding put on 66 for the first wicket, then the momentum was kept going by Emma Stacey and the innings closed on 125-6.
Brompton replied steadily but when Heather Burston was bowled for 15 wickets started to fall steadily.
Kate Wright top scored with 21 but no-one else reached double figures as Brompton closed on 85-7.
