AN outdoor education specialist is appealing for help to trace a craft kit which went missing from Nutcombe Bottom last Thursday (October 17).
Ema Rowe runs the Wild Wellies (. . . Tales and Treasures!) scheme, which helps youngsters learn about the natural environment through a series of activities and adventures.
Last week she had been due to explore the sculptures and nature along the Tall Trees Trail in Nutcombe Bottom with a group of pupils from Cutcombe First School.
She took her craft kit with her to enable the children to make their own works of art but in the 20 minutes it took her to meet the pupils and return to the trail her craft kit had gone.
"I had put the kit out in preparation and to start with I thought one of the rangers had been through and picked it up.
"But when I checked with them there was nothing. My husband went back to look for it in case it had been dumped but there was no sign," Ema said.
The crafty items, which included paper, plastic, scissors and glue, were in a red holdall with blue and white stripes.
"It's not worth a fortune but it's more to do with the fact that it has taken me a long time to build up.
"It is the foundation of my business," Ema said.
Anyone who has any information about the kit's disappearance or who may have spotted a discarded holdall should contact Ema on 07973 392394.
