SIR — I am appalled that the National Trust is intending to open a catering facility at Dunster Castle.
I was born and grew up in Dunster and often return to visit.
Dunster is a vibrant little village with lots of different shops, tearooms and excellent restaurants which all cater for a visitor's needs.
It seems that the National Trust can see a honeypot and wants some of it. If the trust wants more revenue why can't it look at other ways of making money without jeopardising the livelihood of its neighbours?

Dunster waterwheel restoration will safeguard millennium of milling heritageI though the priority of the trust was to support the local economy and work with the local community.
Come on National Trust - play fair!
