ALL 144 children at Dunster First School met in the school hall first thing on Friday morning (December 9) for a Christingle-making workshop.

They were given a demonstration by the Rev Caroline Ralph and headteacher Peter Hoyland and were helped by school staff, parents and members of Dunster’s Mothers Union.

Once all of the Christingles had been made, the children and adults all walked to St George’s Church, Dunster where Reve Ralph led a special Christingle service.

Mr Hoyland said: “It was a wonderful morning and lovely to see the children, parents and members of our local community working together to make the Christingles.

“The service in St George’s Church was delightful and the children were interested to find out about the symbolism of the Christingle.”
