MINEHEAD Male Voice Choir is giving a concert in Porlock on Saturday to raise funds for the K/Dimbani School, Zanzibar, Concordia Project.

The first phase of the project’s backpacking ‘hotelini’, which will provide good quality accommodation for backpackers, will open shortly.

Proceeds from the hotelini will go to the school and provide some income for those servicing the rooms.

Minehead Male Voice Choir has raised at least £3,400 over the last 11 years, and hopes to raise more at the concert in Porlock Village Hall at 7.30pm on May 11. Tickets cost £7 and include a buffet.
