PUPILS at Kingsmead School in Wiveliscombe were evacuated on Wednesday morning after formaldehyde was spilled in a classroom.

Speeding motorists in Wiveliscombe flagged up by new devicesFire crews from Wiveliscombe and Wellington and an environmental protection unit from Taunton were mobilised just after 10.30am.
The building had been evacuated by the time the crews arrived.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and used absorbent granules to soak up the chemicals.
They then helped to ventilate the classroom before returning to base.
