LOCAL people are invited to gather on Exmoor as part of a unique and stunning gathering at dusk

This month, as part of the UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK festival, an outdoor arts company is working with local people, artists and community groups to create a beautifully choreographed and accessible gathering on Exmoor. This participatory artwork will be created at dusk on Saturday May 28 by volunteer “Lumenators” and captured on film.

Green Space Dark Skies is a series of 20 large-scale outdoor artworks in the UK’s most outstanding landscapes. It runs from April to September and is a national celebration of creativity connecting the people and places that make the UK special.

The series of gatherings will celebrate the countryside and how people can explore it, as well as encouraging responsibility to take care of it for future generations.

The Exmoor mass gathering will be accessible and easy to reach and everyone is welcome to register for free to take part.

To protect these amazing places, only people who have registered will be taking part and the locations will not be revealed to the general public. Participants will be given a smart light developed by graduate engineers at  Siemens, which enables the digital choreography to be captured on film, while also being sensitive to the night-time environment.
