Carol-singing members of Brompton Ralph Cricket Club have handed over their latest cheque – for £1,320 – to the Musgrove Leukaemic Group.

The money was raised over four evenings of singing in the lead-up to Christmas, and the leukaemic group’s treasurer Bernard Reed went along to the cricket club to collect the cheque.

The latest effort was the 30th year in a row that members have been out singing, and the total raised since 1986, when £146 was collected, now stands at £31,800.

The singers expressed their thanks to everyone for their generous donations and hospitality and hope to see them all again next Christmas.
