MINEHEAD and District Lifeboat Guild joined crew members, shore helpers and officers of Minehead Lifeboat Station for the annual lifeboat service at the station on Sunday. Vicar of Minehead the Rev Simon Lloyd led the service which featured music from Watchet Town Band and a lesson read by a member of the lifeboat crew. During the service, retiring lifeboat station committee member Captain Chris Muller was presented with a certificate of thanks from the RNLI trustees in recognition of his 24 years of service with the committee. He joined the committee in the capacity as harbourmaster at Watchet and Minehead and, after his retirement, continued as an elected member. He is pictured receiving his certificate from the president of the Minehead Lifeboat committee, Geoff Durman. Photo: Steve Guscott.
