SIR —Re. the recent correspondence concerning dogs fouling Williton Memorial Ground:all dog owners I know, including myself, always pick up their dogs' mess.

It would perhaps be a help if there were actually some dog bins for this purpose instead of at least five bins for general rubbish. The only one near is outside the entrance to the Rec from Robert Street and that would be full in one day.

The path leading from that one is so stony and rough, as was pointed out a few weeks ago by another Free Press reader, that it makes it very difficult to push children's chairs and disability walkers like my own.

Also it would be nice if some people would use the general bins instead of broken glass and rubbish which is usually scattered all over the Rec and even dropped by the side of the bins as they seem to be blind to the fact that's what they are there for.

Please can we have a smoother path which perhaps could be paid for out of the fund that was given to the Rec?
