SIR — Dog owners have bidden a fine farewell to Minehead's main part of the beach until October, and the child ban should now begin.
"What?" you ask! I will explain why.
I walk up and down Minehead seafront so I see a little more than people driving by.
Males of all ages now relieve themselves against the wall at the bottom of the steps at the now-closed lavatories under the arcade on the seafront ... it must be getting quite pungent there.
Parents of young children ask me for the location of public lavatories, I tell them and they then say what a disgrace for the main seafront to have no loos.
And this is the bit that should get our local environmental health officers and doctors quivering - I've heard the parents say "We'll just have to cover it with sand".
Can anyone tell me just what ailments could arise from digging up yesterday's poo? And nowhere to wash yourself either!
The summer will mean more children on the beach, with more poo!
Get the lavatories open now!
