THE 1st Watchet Sea Scouts Group minibus appeal is £220 better off thanks to the perseverance of mums and dads.
The parents of two cubs and four beavers all went on a sponsored slim and lost seven and a half stone between them.
Cub parents Suzette Jones and Lynne Binding trimmed away one stone and half a stone respectively.
One stone was lost by Judy Champion and one and a half each by beaver leader Jeannette Foster and Sylvia Jeromson.

Together they raised £220 which was presented to Malcolm Bale at last Wednesday's Sea Scouts meeting.
