AN appeal has been made for villagers to help save Williton’s community magazine.
The August edition of ‘Williton Window’ is set to be the last unless somebody steps forward to take over its editorship.
The magazine was first produced in July, 2000, replacing a church newsletter, and has been distributed free to 1,650 homes and available online ever since.
The new format was devised by the late Jane Ninis, who wanted a more ambitious magazine with wider appeal to help Williton become truly community-minded.

Retiring editor Linda Wilson said she was sorry not to be able to continue and thanked all the magazine’s contributors and advertisers, and the parish council for its practical and financial support.
A spokesperson said: “We need a volunteer, who could be 10 or 15 miles away or more, so this local magazine can continue.”
