Many turned up fashionably dressed for an authentic ‘afternoon tea’ experience, and were served a fine selection of sandwiches, homemade cakes, scones with clotted cream, tea and coffee by Watchet Live ladies in black and white outfits with lace-edged white aprons and headbands.
The organiser wish to thank Watchet Phoenix Centre, sponsors Miles Tea and Coffee, Somerset Farmhouse- Butchers, Sam’s Deli and the Co-Operative Stores in both Swain Street and Liddymore Road, and all who gave their support.
Carnival parade entries would be welcome. Details can be found on the Watchet Carnival website.
