PUPILS at Exford First School 'sung into action' as part of national Sing Up Day on Wednesday.

They were joined by West Somerset drummer Josh West to perform an ensemble of songs from around the world for parents, family and friends.

Only songs accompanied by a series of action-packed routines were chosen for the event, to tie-in with the theme of 'Sing Into Action'.

Josh, who is a member of popular local group Jack2Jack, stayed on after the concert to lead a series of drumming workshops with pupils.

Sing Up is a Government-backed initiative led by Youth Music, the UK's largest children's music charity, and aims to encourage schools across the country to make more time for singing.
