Pianist Martin James Bartlett will be performing at the next event organised by Milverton Concert Society on Saturday, July 17.

His programme comprises works by Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Haydn, Couperin and Rameau.

Martin, a former BBC Young Musician of the Year who visited Milverton in 2018, has been described as one of ‘England’s most acclaimed young pianists’ and he plays with ‘a maturity and elegance far beyond his years’.

Two socially distanced performances of about one hour will be staged at 4.30pm and 7.30pm, in Milverton church. There will be no interval and masks need to be worn.

Booking is through Ticketsource at www.milvertonconcerts.org or phone the box office on 0333 666 3366. No tickets will be available on the door or at The Globe.

* Tickets are also available for a concert by five of the Kannah-Mason siblings in September and Red Priest in October, both in St Andrew’s Church. For details visit the Milverton Concerts website.
