A CHIP pan fire in a commercial building in West Street, Wiveliscombe, at lunchtime was attended by three fire engines – one from the town itself and two from Wellington.

Smoke was seen issuing from the two-storey building shortly before 2pm (Wednesday March 29).

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
