PORLOCK fire station’s rapid intervention unit and a pumping appliance from Minehead went to the scene when a car fire was reported in Parks View, Porlock, at about 10.30pm last night (Sunday).

On arrival, the Porlock crew found a small fire that the vehicle owner had already extinguished and the Minehead engine went back to base.

Fire fighters made the vehicle safe and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
