ALARMS ringing brought a Minehead fire engine to a ground floor flat in The Close, Alcombe, at 1.45pm today (Monday). It  turned out to be a small fire involving a plastic container on the cooker hob, which was out on arrival. 

Crew members carried out natural ventilation due to light smoke. The cause of the fire was accidental.
