FOUR fire engines were sent to Butlin’s in Minehead to deal with a blaze in a chalet on Sunday morning.

Fire control mobilised two appliances from Minehead, one from Nether Stowey and an aerial ladder platform from Taunton.

On arrival, crews found one chalet which had been heavily smoke logged. No one was injured.

by 10am the crews had extinguished the fire and the engines from Nether Stowey and ALP from Taunton were able to return to their stations.

In July 2019 a staff accommodation block was badly damaged by fire: no one was injured.
