SOMERSET County League football club Watchet Town say no decision has been made over the vacant manager's job and 'discussions are still on-going.'
Watchet are looking for a replacement for Avril Cooke who parted company with the club 'by mutual consent' a fortnight ago.
She said at the time: "People want things to happen quickly and that's not always possible in football. You need time.
"I've no regrets about joining Watchet and I wish the club every success in the future."
Cooke, who was the only female manager/coach in the county league, joined Watchet at the beginning of the past season, having previously been in charge at Minehead.
She was always adament that Watchet would retain their status in the Premier Division but, unfortunately, the seasiders finished second from bottom and have been relegated to the first division where they will face Minehead in two local derbies next season.
Both Watchet and Minehead under-achieved during the past season. Minehead set out to win promotion but finished a disappointing ninth, 32 points behind title winners Uphill Castle, after a bright start.
