WATCHET Town will be looking to bag another three points when they play away to struggling Castle Cary in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League today (Sat).

Having beaten Minehead 1-0 at home in a derby day clash last weekend, Watchet are lying third in the table, nicely tucked in behind leaders Staplegrove. The Taunton side have accumulated seven more points than Watchet but have played two more games.

On form, Watchet should beat Cary who have won only one of their 13 league games although they drew 2-2 at home to Westfield last weekend.

"Our victory over Minehead wasn't pretty but we got the job done," said Nick Sully, one of three members of Watchet's management committee.

Elsewhere today, Staplegrove are away to Westfield while second-placed Saltford have a tricky home game against fifth-placed Peasedown Miners Welfare.

There is no game for Minehead who are not in action until next Saturday when they entertain Staplegrove in what will surely be another tough game.

Minehead Reserves, lying sixth in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League, are home to bottom side Bridgwater & Albion today. Porlock, lying third, have no game.
